Carney can't and won't make a trade deal with the USA because he is a climate radical. Using "Orange Man Bad", he has sold his stealth budget to finance the transition on the long road to net zero, hence the requirement for Canadians to sacrifice their standard of living, health care, housing etc.

In the budget, Carney bitch slapped Premier Smith and delivered 0 of 9 of her demands and to insult to injury, crippled the energy sector with industrial carbon taxes, using Alberta's economic engine to fund Carney's economic "climate sustainability" transition. This should make for an interesting UCP agm later this month.
