True. It's a sad thing for us single folks that our circles of friends and family can get so small that we have no one we know and trust well enough to look after our end-of-life matters.

A good friend of mine who was a local landscaper had an old lady customer who had nobody. He'd do extra chores for her due to his gregarious nature. He was shocked to learn that after her death she left him everything. She had money and properties that he had no idea of.

In my case these are Christian folks I've known for a long time. The Church is so often an extended family for many people who otherwise would have no one by the time they die.
