I used to do the same thing, but now I use OTO orders instead of keeping shares around.
An OTO order is when one order triggers another.

An example in your case could be:

Sell 100 PLTR Trailing stoploss 15%, triggers buy 1 PLTR trailing stoploss 20%

This means sell all my PLTR if they fall by 15%, and then buy one of them back if it rises 20%.

The buyback will make you notice the stock again.
