Like everything else Trump touches, it's not 100% his fault that it turns to shit. More like 50% his fault.

In the case of Ford, Trump slapped tariffs on imported steel and aluminum, two commodities that domestic factories greatly rely on. His chaotic tariff policy is also seizing up the entire supply chain, which takes multiple trips across the Canada and Mexico borders.

So yeah, it is indeed Trump's fault that Ford can't make an EV. Had Trump pursued a more sane policy, he could have imposed smarter tariffs that actually encouraged domestic manufacturing and given Ford a helping hand in the emerging EV markets.

But nope, Trump's idea of a "trade deal" involves going to other nations, then pretending that they're going to invest 200% of their GDP in America.
