Tenchu's Thoughts: Dr. Evil's "One TRILLION DOLLARS"

This is so st00pid. I don't get why the headlines are parroting that "one trillion dollar" figure.

TSLA is already valued at $1.35T, which is way overvalued for a company that is only making $7B annual net profit. P/E ratio is around 193, which is insane unless TSLA is forecast to multiply its earnings over the next ten years, and that's highly unlikely.

Musk's "one trillion dollar" pay package depends on him increasing TSLA's market cap sixfold to $8T. If he could do that, then yeah, he deserves a good chunk of that, but that isn't happening. Period.

Why?

Because Musk already poisoned the Tesla brand name, first with the Cybertruck fiasco, and then with his Nazi-like behavior:

His Robotaxi venture is way behind Waymo and unlikely to become profitable in the near future.

He's desperately trying to shift Tesla from being a vehicle manufacturer to being an AI company, but he doesn't have anything that other AI companies don't have, other than his own name, which has turned into a personality cult.

Now Tesla wants to go into chip manufacturing ...

Elon Musk says Tesla needs to build ‘gigantic chip fab’ to meet AI and robotics needs (CNBC)

If he wants to make his own chips in order to build a huge fleet of robots, fine. Just don't expect that the valuation of TSLA will get to $8T on the power of his name alone.

Fake News

Ultimately the algorithm-driven media is falling for the Bullshishka. That "one trillion dollar" figure is nothing more than clickbait.

To Elon's supporters, including the 75% of shareholders who voted for this insanity, this is wonderful news and worth shouting out from the tops of mountains.

To the Elon haters, this is terrible news that should be spread all over social media as a warning against capitalistic excesses.

But to me, this is just a desperate plea by the richest man in the world for attention. How pathetic.

And oh yeah, he's a n00b at video games.
