You're right Rat, there were 1740 heavily armed people in that January 6 mob.

1) 1,400 officers on duty at the time of the breach.

2) 340 members of District of Columbia National Guard

3) 26 FBI (informants) presumably unarmed.

The only person murdered that day was protester Ashli Babbitt.

Unless of course you want to count other deaths like COVID deaths, then you could say thousands died that were in D.C. on January 6.

1) One person was killed on Jan. 6, 2021—rioter Ashli Babbitt, who was shot by a Capitol Police officer while trying to breach the Speaker’s Lobby. The Washington Post

2) Three others died of medical causes tied to the chaos (two natural-cause cardiac events: Kevin Greeson and Benjamin Phillips; and an accidental drug overdose: Rosanne Boyland). The Washington Post+1

3) Officer Brian Sicknick died after suffering two strokes; the D.C. medical examiner ruled the manner of death natural, while noting “all that transpired played a role in his condition.” Wikipedia

4) Four officers who responded died by suicide; at least one has been formally recognized as a line-of-duty death. WTOP News+1
