I think that the appraisal the OpenAI corporate structure is a mess and it reflects the thinking and attitude of the founder. Though now public yet, share prices usually mirror the personality of the CEO. I am not sure if the APPL announcement is not a zero sum game as GOOGL pays AAPL a boat load of money to be their default search engine and it now looks as if AAPL will pay that back to create AI models from GOOGL .
