The electro-magnetic launch system and the small decks appear to be the problem. If the report is correct, Xi was responsible for the launch system. If true, more support for unstable military, need for purges, etc., etc. Just steal the Gerald Ford’s design, take 6 years to test it, then maybe the Chinese will have a proper carrier. If they can operate it. Lol! Maybe they know carriers are vulnerable to hypersonics so having a proper one might be considered irrelevant. If so, why build one in the first place?
