Re. Any idea/news that is putting lot of pressure of consumer staple/discretionary companies stocks?

It's probably because tech is sucking up all the investment $$$ and not much money flowing into staples. Just my guess besides the other well known issues like GLP-1 drug anr RFK's effect.

Out of my only two (very new) staple positions (HRL and GIS), HRL seems to be pulling out of a nose dive:
