Key Points
  • Taking OTC medications with overlapping ingredients can cause dangerous overdosing and severe health risks.
  • Combining Tylenol and NyQuil or Benadryl and Tylenol PM, can result in liver damage or dangerous side effects.
  • Always read labels, avoid mixing ingredients and consult a pharmacist if uncertain.

Tylenol and Benadryl are both 'last century' drugs. We have known about the LIver dangers (damage, and problems with diabetes, mental disfunction) for some time. It just keeps getting worse. I'd say its best to find another 'cold remedy/antihistamine' med. and only take combinations when you want to shorten your life.
