Excellent article regarding a Grand Bargain. The CCP must or should recognize that its high-tech development model will do little to bring 600 million citizens out of abject poverty. It needs to promote domestic consumption, which is being effectively precluded by tariffs and sanctions, and not just those put on by the USA. If internal consumption does not go up, there will be social and political instability with existential consequences for the CCP. The CCP knows this.
