Conspiracy Theory:

Ibexx, please forgive me for beating a dead horse and realize I appreciate your perspective, but consider the following:

1. ATI wants share price at $45 or above (volume average) well before closure of merger with US West.

2. ATI share price languishing in 42 - 43 range

3. ATI may well have already spent most of it's buyback bucks.

4. How about a "leak" about possible buyout to boost stock price?

5. Of course, given that the "leak" came from WCOM, it would have to mean it is true.
