Here is a tip: avoid the penny stocks. You may think this is the best place for your $300 because you can purchase at least 100 shares this way, but it isn't a good place for your money. Have you invested on paper? I would try this first. Work with intermediate term investments of lets say on the order of 6 months or longer.
