If you want to help the artistic community- especially marginalized communities- read books by gay, trans and lesbian authors and non-binary books, read black authors too and remember, it's Native Heritage month- so books by indigenous authors would be good to read- many of these authors are being shadow banned by libraries now that racism is in the White House and it's all about keeping things white for so many in the repturd party. You can find these authors on good reads- there are lists.

This holiday season we're taking our gift money and giving it to our local food bank that serves the unhoused. It's not like anyone in our family needs anything else, so it's good to give to people who truly are in need- and since we all know about what we'd spend on holiday gifts, it's easy to budget.
