Government mandates via Agency rules or Government contracts disctate that jobs are created that totally detract from the bottom line.
Because the Climate Weirdos at EPA thought it was life or death for the people on Earth to clean up diesel emissions, diesel trucks were forced to supplement vehicles with urea to scrub the exhaust. A friend of mine bought a nice diesel for his camper platform and then realized that he was stressing out whenever he'd get out somewhere far from the crowd because if he ran out of a certain chemical compound to please the Climate Weirdos, his truck would shut down.

Glad to see they're starting to get some sense back.
