CAIE is not a fund of static 5 year notes. I think you might be confusing it with the buffered funds that roll yearly. It buys a new note every week and the old notes are constantly getting called. That's what makes this fund unique, advisors used to have to purchase individual notes for clients but Calamos came up with this laddered fund of notes, that's why they call it the "Easy Button" of callable notes. Innovator has come out with a couple of funds but I don't like how they model the portfolio. Calamos will be coming out with a Nasdaq version under the symbol CAIQ. I'm not sure If I be investing in it but we'll see. I believe the buffer was going to be 30%.
