For some reason I thought I read the trust had to be in effect for five years previously. I did look into the
gifting over $19k. You can do as much as you want. Have to file a form 709, gift tax return, and not go over
the lifetime limit. Guess the lawyer knew I wouldn't get up against that. :) Waiting on the email.
