You forgot

"Do as I say not as I do"
"Do as I say not as I do"

That is something I have heard before, and quite likely from my uncles in Thorhild also. Usually, like that moment when dad said "put the money on the right" when I think I was just walking by him, it seemed a little off or strange. Usually I did not question him and usually he did not explain it. One that I did forget is when I was told "You don't do anything without a shower", that was at home and I might have still been in elementary school when that happened. These two pictures are of a Christmas present I received in Camrose at uncle Si's house when I was younger than a teenager, I will guess it was from my dad when I was six and I still have this.

With regards to the 'bees' I didn't ask for "You want moooore" and it took a few years to get "You can use less" in accordance with "If you run over some one, back up and run over them again" to get to "9/5ths" so like the horse "Mac" in the family story I posted today I could get to 'home' and "Look after the kids and dollars will look after themselves". This is the computer application I asked for after the design supervisor picked a tool for "You can use less" that would have been in alignment with uncle Ed's "You can have it cheap and fast but it won't be good". The company would not buy it. Years later after increasing the size of their accounting software they did a Request For Proposal for a single vendor to supply an engineering platform for worldwide locations for an end-to-end solution. The engineers provided an electrical requirement that greatly increased the size, and after I saw the vendor presentations I had a context that enabled me to start placing the materials I had been taught. Later while still at the company I slightly increased the scope of context to include chemical engineering after I heard "She is doing the wrong thing" from one of the accounting software information collectors. Doing "You want moooore" a few years after I stopped working there increased did help with the context.

I did do a scorecard during that Request for proposal and had a result of a tie. An engineering manager told me to "Go an ex" in alignment with a vendors solution set. I still have a view that one vendor from the tie is more favorable for the engineers, and the other vendor is more favourable for the designers with a very nice tool for the engineers. I don't know the work (how they work, what all they do) in that area where the chemical engineers are though.
