Emmo: Think about the arithmetic. What matters, for liquidity purposes, is the total number of shares owned as a percentage of average daily volume. Doubling the number of shares and halving the price should double the average daily volume. This will not change liquidity.

The important thing is market cap, not total number of shares. A stock split, of course, does not alter market cap.
