IMXI. Gabelli and IMXI (?). Ok, but strange. IMXI ($15.08) being acquired for $16 cash by WU with deal to close mid '26 (so I've read). 6% in maybe six months not worth it to me.
I hold tracking position in WU (Western Union). Cigar butt, but I hold because dividend ok. Maybe company will be transformed/energized by the acqusition. Hope the div remains intact. finance.yahoo.com
More merchant to merchant is DLO. Recently reported good earnings, and I added a few shares to the few I hold. "DLocal Limited, together with its subsidiaries, operates a payment processing platform worldwide. The company offers a robust pay-in solution that allows businesses to get paid for their products and services through various payment methods, including international and local cards, online bank transfers, direct debit, cash, and hundreds of alternative payment methods (APMs)." finance.yahoo.com
I have a tracking losing position in PYPL. Positive for me is I use their service (and as I say, I like to hold shares in companies in which I have repeat business). Negative for me is I've now held shares for my usual two-year consideration, and with the small loss, it's time I consider moving on.
I've tried a few shares of another buy now pay later company that has sprung up and become popular for people (such as Afterpay, Affirm), but it was a loser for me. Seems to me too much competition, and I don't understand what I'm buying into with the company/stock. So I'm avoiding these now. |
