Gauzy’s AI-powered Smart-Vision CMS is integrated into Renault Trucks’ DOLPHIN concept truck, advancing intelligent driver assistance solutions for commercial vehicles in line with emerging European regulations.
Featured in Ford’s F-MAX at Solutrans, Gauzy’s Smart-Vision CMS, already in serial production, demonstrates proven driver safety performance across commercial vehicle platforms.

TEL AVIV, Israel and LYON, France, Nov. 19, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gauzy Ltd. (NASDAQ: GAUZ), a global leader in vision and light-control technologies, is enhancing driver safety and protecting vulnerable road users (VRUs) through its AI-powered advanced driver assistance systems. The company today highlights its contribution to the DOLPHIN initiative led by Renault Trucks, part of the Volvo Group, providing its AI-powered Smart-Vision® Camera Monitoring System (CMS) and Driver Monitoring System (DMS) for the next-generation concept truck. These systems enable the concept vehicle to increase detection and driver alerts for VRUs in densely populated areas and help reduce accidents.
Gauzy’s AI-powered Smart-Vision CMS is also featured in the Ford F-MAX, presented at Solutrans 2025. Ford’s implementation of Gauzy’s technology showcases real-world operation and demonstrates its effectiveness in improving driver safety and operational efficiency across multiple commercial vehicle platforms, as part of one of the first series-produced trucks to feature next-generation AI-based driver assistance systems.
“Our mission is to redefine safety and vehicle intelligence in commercial transport,” said Eyal Peso, CEO and Co-Founder of Gauzy. “Through DOLPHIN, we are demonstrating how AI-driven systems that improve vision and driver monitoring can transform fleet operations and enhance safety, efficiency, and connectivity, positioning Gauzy at the forefront of next-generation commercial vehicle innovation.”
The DOLPHIN program is a government-backed research and demonstration initiative supported by France Relance and France 2030, French government programs that promote industrial innovation and the transition toward sustainable mobility. Focused on advancing electric and connected truck technologies, DOLPHIN brings together industrial and academic partners to combine expertise in vehicle design, aerodynamics, driver perception, and safety systems. The goal is to develop next-generation solutions that make trucks safer, more efficient, and better connected to their surroundings.
Within the collaborative DOLPHIN ecosystem, the initiative brings together Renault Trucks, Lamberet, and academic partners Université Clermont Auvergne and INSA Lyon — supported by their research laboratories (LAPSCO, LMFA, Ampère, LAMCOS) — together with Gauzy, contributing to the development of advanced driver assistance systems aimed at reducing cognitive overload in complex environments. Gauzy’s AI-powered Smart-Vision CMS enhances driver perception and improves detection of VRUs, including pedestrians, cyclists, and scooter riders, who are at higher risk in dense urban settings.
Complementing the CMS, Gauzy’s DMS tracks the driver’s gaze and attention, triggering strong audio alerts when hazards appear outside the field of view and softer alerts when the driver is already aware, helping maintain focus without distraction. CMS views are displayed on the 15-inch and 12-inch in-cabin screens, providing clear visual data and driver insights. The full 360° vision, supported by rear and side-mounted cameras including one positioned at the back of the trailer, is integrated into the DOLPHIN concept truck’s cockpit dashboard to help eliminate blind spots during turns, reversing, and complex maneuvers.
“DOLPHIN demonstrates how technology can foster better interaction between vehicles and their environment,” said David Le Berre, EVP Safety Tech, Safety Tech Division at Gauzy. “By adapting vision and alerts to real-world conditions, we’re advancing safety where it matters most: around vulnerable road users.”
The DOLPHIN concept truck is on display at Solutrans 2025, from November 18–22 at Lyon Eurexpo, showcasing next-generation truck technologies. Gauzy’s Smart-Vision system for trucks is featured within the project, allowing visitors to explore how advanced vision technology enhances safety and driver awareness.
