Here is the proposed 28 point peace agreement.

There are enough things in there for Russia to like, that Russia would sacrifice what would get on the battlefield following Ukraine military collapse, except the US and the West are just not trustworthy counter parties to an such agreement, where a lot depends on trust.

Probably, the best play for Russia is to play along, waiting for Zelensky / EU leaders' retardation instinct to kick in and reject the plan.

Trump (via Witcoff / Rubio / Dimitriev negotiators) gave it a good shot, as something that could conceivably work.
