Wish I could find an active ORCL discussion as the runup over $300 was understandable but I don't get the current retrenchment to under $200. General malaise after so much excitement a couple of earnings reports which were certainly promising on the revenue side, but how much profit might be in each center is just a guess. Management carried the enthusiasm but often they see that as their job and it means little. So my first guess is that investors just felt they over enthused about the future and now the high price looks unsustainable. I made the mistake of selling $220 calls and then buying them back as the price declined to $240. Should have waited until yesterday or expiration in a month or two.

One also might guess the purchase of a media outlet by David Ellison might have damaged ORCL. I know I don't like the idea of big money buying up the largest corporate media and have tried to move away from getting my news on either big media or amateurs. Some of the independent media are better. I follow the "Guardian", the "Economist", Reuters, AP, Propublica, and some podcasters like HCR regularly. Also Jeffrey Sachs.
