Cross-eyed Patel and ICE Barbie have been in a political tug-of-war for months now. Yep. A sure sign that Trump is viewed as weak by even his minions. Building fiefdoms, along with sniping at the other proto-warlords, is how empires disintegrate. As the various departments become breakaway republics, I expect to see more of this. Like badgers in a tow sack, they will turn on each other. As Trump retreats into his dream world of being a Builder and becomes even more disengaged from real life, I expect there to be more of this. Unlike his first term, his present crew of merry pirates has no stake in anything but their personal gain. So they are willing to torch any and everything as long as they can keep their loot.
