To me, it’s interesting that this follows the scenario (and, even the terminology) advised by David Goldman - as I recall, at least a dozen of years ago - and it’s happening while he’s a senior advisor for policy in the Trump admin.

This sounds like it may outdate all of the sophisticated chips in existence today - all at once.
There's maybe $5 trillion worth of digitally-based chip interest in the US to oppose it. However, they can't fight it, they just need to lay down a parallel track of development in a rival analog model.

It’s something that needs to be addressed immediately - and with great energy.
Amen to that! China's working on their second generation. They know we know now. We've got some catching up to do!
