How Qualcomm Can Compete With Nvidia For Datacenter AI Inference

share.google

Don't think this got posted. It doesn't mention CXL nor near memory compute. It proposed differences come for more AI cores in their NPU, moving to Nuvia based CPU cores as well as, FP4 in place of INT4 support and driving fab nodes through 4, 3 and 2 nm.

PCIe interface could also be replaced but it's might be that CXL also needs changes to LPDDR memory pools.

NVLINK is missing from this article too. I'd expect that on the AI250 if it has real value beyond CXL and Infiniband.
It does have cost per token per kilowatt favouring Qualcomm.

They've just got to get product out the door.
