You have like 15 minutes after the close at Schwab to decline exercise on an option that is in the money. But the problem is you have to call the options trading desk (IIRC) you can't do it online. Its not your choice to decline assignment after the close. Buy to close before expiration. BTW, I didn't remember one little oddity, Schwab doesn't charge their normal 0.65/contract on BTC at $0.05 or less.
