From the court in QCOM v. ARM: Still getting through the documents. A few things to post:

This seems to be a missed redaction. QCOM has its ALA and TLA until 2033. (2025 + "8 years to go" = 2033) We knew that the license ran somewhere in 2030's but never an exact year.



Qualcomm attempted to get an x86 license and was turned down



Arm is providing Datacenter CPUs to Meta (already known) and is working with Waymo for Auto CPUs (I couldn't find this reported anywhere)



Arm apparently is ready to negotiate the Arm V10 ALA. Arm is saying Qualcomm hasn't responded. I suspect Qualcomm is waiting for this trial to be over before getting back to the v10 ALA negotiations. Qualcomm wants to license it at v9 rates, and I assume Arm is trying to jack the rates up for v10.



Arm wants to mark some documents as privileged, but the documents are chats with CoPilot AI chat bot. Qualcomm is say nay those cannot be privilege as they go to a 3rd party server. Waiting on Special Master to make a decision.



Arm built an entire website to trash RISC-V which pissed off internal CPU engineers (The smart ones) so they ended up retracting the website.
