Lucent Technologies elects two new members to their board.....That's right. Our CEO YOUNG is now an active member of the LU board.

Young was named to join the Lucent board on February 5, and at that time the company said he would begin serving after its spinoff from AT&T. Paul A. Allaire chairman and chief executive officer of Xerox Corporation, the global provider of document processing products and services, was also elected to the LU board.

For the details go to this link:

Now, would their be a conflict of interest (for either company) if Lucent looks at Novell for a possible buy-out or merger with (1) Young on both boards and (2) Young as acting CEO for Novell?
