AEIS - terrific company which will dominate their market. They are the primary source of components for NVLS LRCX and AMAT. Not only that but they will most certainly be a force to be reckoned with once the optical (DVD???) market takes off. Their only real competitor, ENI, seems to be losing customers to AEIS. AEIS is located 1.5 miles down the road from us. I have written a long winded request from savvy investors on this company and have not found a way to post it to the guys that follow AMAT, LRCX and NVLS. I know a number of people that are accumulating large positions (5,000 to 25,000 shares) in small quantities, since this stock trades very little volume. Small volumes seem to cause this stock to move in one way or another. I am interested in investing in this company (I Think) but would like to figure out a strategy such that it does not run away in price. Most of the people that bought the IPO shares are still buying more. They beleive AEIS is very valuable to NVLS, AMAT, and LRCX. Based on the drop in the price of AEIS (7-8 down to 5) and the increase in price for the other 3 companies, AEIS is a very attractive acquisition at a low overall cost. This could precipitate a bidding war, should this occur, since it puts the 2 losing companies in a possible bind. At least this is the thinking of people here. Lots of local activity in this stock makes me believe something is going on but I am not astute enough to figure the real indications. |
