i agree with your comments on competition and demand but not with your higher cost comment.I thought all this brand new equipment and technology was supposed to lower costs? In my opinion the fourth Q was a disaster and the first Q of 98 will see red ink because that is when the Asian flu will really impact SPTR.What they didn't say in their report is more important than what they said.Specifically about LU and GLW supply contracts and completion of their expansion project.Higher Research and Development costs could spell problems with the expansions.Just my opinion though.
