The drug war against Venezuela is beginning to look like a faint to invade the country and cause regime change with the ultimate goal to "lock up "all the fossil fuels" in the country and thus feed it to the U.S. The largest crude oil reserves of any country on the planet. Gulf coast refineries are mostly geared up to refine the heavy oils that make up most of Venezuela's reserves. Trump's cabinet is licking their chops along with all the billionaires in the fossil fuel industry.
