I was in Staples (on Union Square in NYC) today, had a quick look at the PCs there (all notebooks). They had 9 laptops on display, and there were 2 additional that were AMD based but they did not have a unit on display. What was notable, is that all the laptops were dirt cheap. From under $300 to ~$550. The 2 AMD units were actually on top of the price range. The cheapest ones had only 8GB of memory, but these were like $249.
