It makes it sound as if the agencies like the IRS could be weaponized using AI tools for auditing and legal purposes. Bloomberg had a blurb yesterday that half of current jobs in the US could be replaced by automation, software, and AI. Maybe the timeline was by 2050 or something like that. It will be interesting to see what policy responses will be offered to deal with this possibility. Few have really contemplated the seismic shift this may cause across government, society, and the rest of the world.
