The OT is theologically authoritative, but not “law” in the juridical sense in the Catholic Church.
Is that the kind of self-contradictory "theology" that you learned from your Holocaust-denying bishop?

AFAIK the Catholic Church accepts both the Old Testament and the New Testament as canon. Can't have a virgin birth mean anything without the Old Testament setting the context. Can't have Jesus give the Sermon on the Mount without him referring to Mosaic law and framing it in a context that upset the Pharisees of his era.

Whatever "theology" you believe in sounds a lot like Catholic-derived heresy.
