FTC sends payments to people who bought antivirus software from AvastThe FTC is sending 103,152 payments totaling nearly $15.3 million to people who bought antivirus software from Avast and filed a valid claim before the deadline.

According to the FTC, Avast collected and sold users’ information to third parties without users’ consent. Avast paid money to settle. The FTC is using that money to send payments to people who filed a valid claim before the deadline.

You will get the payment type that you selected during the claims process.

If you get a check, please cash it within 90 days.

If you get a PayPal payment, please accept it within 30 days.

If you get a Zelle payment, the payment will be deposited directly into your bank account with a note about the settlement.

The FTC never asks you to pay money to get a refund.
