I use a single 24" monitor; big enough for my needs. Seems simple enough to open the new tab as such, or as a new window (my preference). My muscle memory is to hit the second option on the context menu. And most folks don't need several tabs on view simultaneously. I guess I need to retrain myself when I use Chrome. When tabs got invented, I eventually learned to go from the first to the second option, which, IMO, is where "open in new window" should be.

There are people for whom the only internet they know is on their phones. I see Google doesn't split an Android screen, not yet, anyway. .Even juggling tabs seems impossibly awkward to me.
