You idiots that voted Liberal or NDP caused this.
Carney’s cabinet meeting cost you half a million dollars (this doesn't include the cost of flying all the flunky cabinet members to the meeting.)

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government spent a half million on a two-day cabinet minister meeting in Toronto.

Carney’s cabinet meeting was more expensive than recent cabinet meetings held by his predecessor Justin Trudeau.

Carney’s meetings cost you $532,000, according to government records obtained by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.

Carney’s cabinet meeting was held at the Pan Pacific Hotel, which describes itself as a “luxury hotel.”

Why did Carney hold the meeting at a “luxury hotel” in Toronto when there’s tons of office space in Ottawa?

The Privy Council Office spent $250,400 on the venue and “hospitality,” $78,700 for audiovisual services, $40,000 for security and $8,073 on shipping. The PCO spent another $38,300 on accommodation, meals and transportation.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police spent $29,000 on the cabinet meeting. The Translation Bureau charged taxpayers $30,600 for travel expenses, travel time and interpretation services.

Other departments also spent $57,400 for the cabinet meeting. Most of that was for transportation, but some ministers charged taxpayers for meals and accommodation for themselves and their staff.

Carney’s Toronto cabinet meeting cost more than recent cabinet meetings hosted by Trudeau.

Trudeau’s cabinet retreat to Charlottetown, P.E.I., in August 2023, cost taxpayers $485,196. Even after adjusting for inflation, Trudeau’s cabinet retreat cost about $26,000 less than Carney’s.

The Trudeau government also held a cabinet meeting in Vancouver in 2022. It cost taxpayers $471,070. Even after adjusting for inflation, Trudeau’s cabinet retreat cost about $25,000 less than Carney’s.

Pro tip for Carney: If you’re spending thousands of dollars more than Trudeau on meetings, you’re spending too much money.

Franco’s note: Carney told Canadians he was going to cut waste. He should start by not dropping half a million bucks on meetings.

Saskatoon taxpayers forced to foot bill for back-alley door art

The city of Saskatoon is wasting tax dollars trying to turn back-alley doors into Picasso paintings.

It spent $8,202 putting up “art” on back-alley doors last year for a project called “Alley Gallery 2024.”

City taxpayers footed part of the bill, while Saskatoon’s downtown Business Improvement District covered the rest.

BIDs are funded by commercial property owners in a designated area through a tax collected by the city.

The city also contributed $4,500 for a similar project called “Door Décor” in 2025.

The downtown BID is currently asking the city for $15,000 to paint art on doors in a different back alley, according to records reviewed by the CTF.

The city previously wasted nearly $100,000 of taxpayers’ money putting up colour-changing lights in a back alley in 2023.

This begs the question: Why is a city government spending money prettying-up a back alley?

Are the resident rats and alley cats demanding it?

The CTF is holding the city to account for wasting taxpayers’ money on back-alley art.

“If local businesses want artistic back doors, they should buy a pail of paint instead of filling out a grant application,” said Gage Haubrich, CTF Prairie Director. “Not one single taxpayer dollar more should be spent on painting a back-alley door.”

The city of Saskatoon is hiking property taxes by 6.70 per cent in 2026 and 5.81 per cent in 2027.

VIDEO: Carney’s gun grab is DOOMED! Here’s what we know: The Franco Terrazzano Show!

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation launched a ground-breaking legal challenge to force the Carney government to release projected costs for its gun ban and confiscation.

The government shouldn’t be hiding the costs from taxpayers, the government should be scrapping this taxpayer boondoggle.

The latest episode of The Franco Terrazzano Show breaks down the latest news on Carney’s gun grab fiasco and how taxpayers are fighting back. You can watch (and share) that video by clicking the link below.
