I don't remember getting chicken pox but I might have, My Mom got shingles and they were painful so I thought about getting the shot. I know where you're coming from, I got one flu shot 20+ years ago and was sick as a dog for 3 weeks, worse than any flu I ever got, never had another shot and never got a flu again, luck? don't know.
