Maybe there aren't enuf affordable houses because they're deporting the people who build them.... and the price of buildable land keeps going up cuz they ain't making more land, like they did when Foster City was built, and the cost of materials are increasing, plus tariffs. Oh, and insurance going up because of natural disasters.

Brewer's Island, originally salt marsh, was diked off. The land was raised 4-5 feet by pumping sand from the bay, creating a central drainage basin.
