Congratulations!

I can remember being jealous of two of my mentors at HP who were only 6 years older and both had homes in Los Altos, well out of my reach. We became good friends while working and I learned they didn't use family money to buy but partnered up to buy the home one lived in using credit cards to get the down payment. They lived frugally and advanced in the company to middle managers. When it was time to marry, one bought the other out. I had three other coworkers, two years older, who pooled resources and did the same. It was a wakeup call that you could afford to live here, even without wealthy parents, if you were creative and helped our stock appreciate.

There is a wealthy CA guy trying to run for governor now after a failed bid or two at president. His commercials are so sickening he must have sycophants but I guess it is the fashion now to attack the rich and corporations since that is what he's doing saying they need to pay their fair share as if 13.3% isn't enough.
