Kirk,
I don't want to butt in, but I believe that strip zero bonds have imputed interest associated with them. And for that reason, they were mostly used in tax advantaged accounts (like IRA's). Because the imputed interest would be taxable income. This is a belief I had from years ago, and tax rules might have changed.
