remember when diesel used to be cheaper than gas? I haven't had to use premium gas since the 70's, I got on a speed kick, all my first cars were junk. I bought a used 1967 Mustang with a tired engine for $1900. bought a sprint car engine for $550. blew it up then forked over $1200 for a rebuilt race engine that got 9 miles per gallon but it was pretty fast for the day. I was dumb then, I could have bought a faster factory car with all the money I spent on that Mustang, my next car was a 1970 Transam I think I must of used premium with that car too.
