So are you going to double down and buy more AMNF? I'm now on a triple on both my taxable and IRA. I'm toying with selling the 10,000 AMNFshares in my IRA and transferring my XOM from the IRA to my taxable account. I hate the idea of paying 37% taxes on a qualified dividend. It is one of those pay me now or pay me later deals and the quicker you bite the bullet, the quicker you get to keep mpre of the dividend revenue. GRRR! The only other thought is to gift it to my Alma Matter, but that does not get my account transferred faster. Also when does CVX historically increase the dividend (I'm thinking it may be this earnings announcement (for the next quarter? usually bumps up around 2/15 of each year.) Last year it went from $1.63 to $1.71 Plus 32 cents on what was $6.52 or 4.97%. In 2024 it went from $1.51 to $1.63 or 48 cents annually from $6.04 or 7.9%. With Hess under their belt (and Guyana) maybe we'll see 6% increase or $7.25 sh. I wonder if they'll sell off any of the non guyana Hess properties? By the way Kudos for showing us all, how lucrative long term buy and hold can be!. Has accumulated dividends received from CVX exceeded your cost basis yet? That has to be a significant milestone!
