Smart Asset: The whole sector has been under stress. I am sure that you know that XLP is a defensive holding and should be viewed as such. It most likely will not flourish in times that tech excels. I (as well as many others here) are invested in the XLP sector. MY objective for this investment is indeed defensive not growth but rather focussed on stability and dividends. If stability and dividends are your focus then I would recommend holding. If growth is your focus, there are many better options. All is just my opinion. Good luck. dan
