FIX is all industrial, no residential business, by the way.

The industrial HVAC systems (and whatever else FIX installs and maintains) are I'm sure supposed to run 24/7 without problems, but problems pop up. Someone has to maintain the system.

Seems like an interesting biz......

of concern to me was that the contractor i dealt with is a family business and I wondered how solid the 10 year supposed warranty of parts and labor would actually be if the owner was unable to run the business anymore.

For residential HVAC I think the warranty goes with the machine, the HVAC
installation company may go bust and as long as you got receipts and stuff any company can execute the warranty.

My issue with a recent repair of out home HVAC was a coil needed replacement, and it was under warranty. Free parts, not free labor. No problem. It tooks 9 months to get the free part, but when it showed up the maintenance company did the replacement with a free part. The HVAC warranty went along with the machine, not the with the company that originally installed it.
