  • Tanker seized: President Trump said the United States had seized a tanker off the coast of Venezuela, without providing any additional details. Mr. Trump has been engaged in a pressure campaign on the government of President Nicolás Maduro, whom he has labeled a terrorist drug cartel leader. Mr. Trump has repeatedly suggested his military campaign against vessels he says are carrying drugs in the Caribbean could expand to strikes on Venezuelan soil.
