We haven't had old-fashioned cable since 2014, we had Youtube TV for awhile. It was OK, but every year they jacked the price up, and we were watching only a few of the many channels. So when we pulled the plug on
that, we found streaming had reached the point where it covered most of our viewing. I get my news from
the web. And we mix and match now and then, right now it's Netflix, Apple TV and Disney/Hulu on a $4.99
a month deal. We do have premium Youtube which has most of the best pieces we're interested in- just a
day later and no commercials. Of course one of the reason Youtube TV went up was the linear TV channels kept jacking up their rates...and so it goes. Cable TV will become irrelevant after awhile too, methinks.
