The updates are still coming. Out in the Fraser Valley they are listening to flood warning sirens from across the border. And Washington State has called out the National Guard.

On my side of the border, the first evacuation notices have gone out near the Chilliwack River. And they are landslide and especially avalanche warnings all over BC. Avalanches have now closed the Trans Canada Highway where it enters the Rocky Mountains, as well as the highway north to the top half of the province from Prince George.

Apparently the rain might stop, at least up here, around midnight but it will be back tomorrow night.

Fingers are crossed that not too much water from the overflowing Nooksack River in Washington makes it across the border.
