[ Texas - I'm afraid of rattle snakes and Texas is just too full of them. ]

=> OK.

Have lived in Texas for more than 50 years and have yet to see a rattlesnake[1] -- have seen other kinds[1], but thus far, no rattlers.

Best wishes,

Kiisu
1. Saw a few rattlers in the more western states.

2. Snakes *I've* seen in Texas include:
  • ribbon snake. ht tps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thamnophis_proximus
  • rat snake. ht tps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rat_snake
  • hognose snake. ht tps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hognose
Most snake encounters on the farm have been with 'em stealing eggs from our hens.

#3 is utterly terrified of snakes -- any snake, even a rubber or plastic one, will send her into a shrieking panic.
